Are You a Candidate for Body Contouring?

If you have pockets of unwanted fat on your face or body that exercise and diet can’t eliminate, you may wish you could wave a magic wand and get rid of it. Wouldn’t it be nice to simply banish unwanted fat?

Although there’s no such thing as a magic fat-dispersing wand, today’s advanced body contouring treatments effectively remove stubborn fat. You can achieve a more sculpted look around your trouble spots.

At Living Waters Regenerative Medicine Center in Gulf Breeze, Florida, integrative and internal medicine physician Deborah D. Viglione, MD, provides patients with safe, effective body contouring treatments. Are you a candidate for our exciting fat-removal procedures?

About body contouring

Body contouring can give you a slimmer, more sculpted appearance. At Living Waters, we offer two types of treatment modalities: non-surgical body contouring and infrasonic (surgical) liposuction. The type of modality recommended for you depends on individual factors, such as the results you seek and the amount of fat you’d like to eliminate.

Non-surgical body contouring

Dr. Viglione uses the industry-leading VelaShape® III — a completely noninvasive body shaping tool. This treatment, which is cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration, destroys fat cells using vacuum manipulation and radiofrequency (heat) energy.

VelaShape III obliterates fat cells in problem areas such as the legs, hips, belly, and back. It’s recommended for removing smaller amounts of fat.

Infrasonic liposuction body contouring

This option is performed in the office under local anesthesia and can help rid you of larger areas of fat. During infrasonic liposuction treatments, Dr. Viglione inserts a specialized device into your body through tiny incisions. The device loosens and removes excess fat.

Who can benefit from body contouring?

Diet and exercise are an excellent way to lose weight. But even after you achieve the number on the scale that you’ve been aiming for, you may still have stubborn pockets of fat that don’t go away no matter how hard you try to get rid of them. That’s where body sculpting comes in.

Body contouring may be for you if you’re at or close to your goal weight. Body contouring can provide you with the slimming results you can’t get on your own through diet and exercise.

Women and men who would like to reduce the size of their breasts or who want to slim the appearance of their neck, face, or jowls are also candidates for body contouring.
